World Cup Qualifiers … Saudi Arabia faces Palestine in the lead – Sports – Arab and International

The Saudi team is looking for the top of the Asian Group Four when it receives its Palestinian counterpart, on Tuesday, at the Marsool Park stadium as part of the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup.
Al-Akhdar is ranked fourth in Group D with 8 points from 4 matches, while the Palestinian team ranks last with 4 points.
Saudi Al-Akhdar, who has kept his record free from defeats, seeks to continue his series of positive results and is alone at the top of his group, which hosts the rest of its matches in the grouping system in Riyadh next June.
The Saudi national team played a friendly match last Thursday, against Kuwait, in which it won with an unanswered goal scored by its defender Abdul Ilah Al-Omari, although French coach Herve Renard kept some basic names and gave a full opportunity to some alternative names to stand on their level, but in tomorrow’s match he will enter the main squad looking for points. The three, through which he will make an important way towards reaching the decisive stage.
As for Ronard, he said at the match conference, “We played a difficult match with Palestine in the first leg, and our goal tomorrow is to win and top the group.”
“We have no excuse for not providing a good level in tomorrow’s match, and we have a distinguished group of players,” he added.
And he added, “We have only played very few games, and this affects the level and the group as a whole.”
And when asked about the loss of the services of the duo Salman Al-Faraj and Abdullah Al-Hamdan due to injury, he replied, “Their absence will not affect us, we have a distinguished group of players.”
He continued, “Saud Abdul Hamid is a promising and distinguished player, and he deserves to participate in longer minutes, but the competition in our squad is very strong.”
And on the participation of Ali Al-Blaihi as a left-back, he revealed, “In the Asian Championship, he participated with Al-Hilal as a left-back, so there is no problem with his participation in this position.”
Fahd Al-Mawlad described the Al-Ghad match as important, and said in media statements, “An important match against Palestine is waiting for us in the joint Asian qualifiers, and we are trying to win it.”
“There is nothing easy in football, and if we work hard enough, we will lead our group in the joint Asian qualifiers, and we will fight to achieve what is required, and I wish everyone a great stand to support the national team,” he added.
The Palestinian national team is trying to revive its hopes of qualifying for this group, and this will only be by winning over Saudi Arabia and the next matches, and although its mission seems difficult in light of the strength of the green, its focus will be on winning, especially as it has used all its professional players abroad.
The Palestinian national team arrived in Riyadh a week ago, after setting up an internal camp in the city of Hope in Jericho, with the participation of local players.
“The Saudi team is one of the best Asian and Arab teams,” said Firas Abu Mayala, a member of the Palestinian Federation. “They aspire to achieve a positive result in front of us.”
He added, “We have all confidence in the players and the technical staff and their ability to be in the best readiness on the day of the match, and to achieve the result that the Palestinian national team and fans hope for.”
