WHO called the number of people with antibodies to coronavirus – RT in Russian

Less than 10% of the world’s population has antibodies to the COVID-19 coronavirus infection. This was stated by the chief researcher of the World Health Organization (WHO) Sumiya Swaminathan.

She noted that the organization is overseeing research on coronavirus outbreaks.

“WHO is monitoring these sero-epidemiological studies, at the last count, there were about 500 of them. And if we look at them together, it turns out that less than 10% of the world’s population have antibodies to this virus,” she said in interviewposted by WHO on Twitter.

Swaminathan stressed that the only way to obtain herd immunity on a global scale is to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
