“We argue all the time, it’s constructive”, but “the problem is that scientists come to do that on TV”, laments Professor Yazdan Yazdanpanah

“Science is fragile, so it’s good to think differently, it’s a wealth, but we are in a fight and we must all be there together”, estimated, Monday March 1 on France Inter, the professor and member of the Scientific Council Yazdan Yazdanpanah, concerning the differences between scientists about the health crisis of Covid-19.

“There is a diversity within the Scientific Council, it is good, it is rich, it is normal, and besides, we have always arrived at a consensus”, continued the head of the infectious diseases department at Bichat hospital in Paris.

“We argue all the time to try to find the best solution, poursuit Yazdanpanah from Summer. For us it’s trivial, it’s constructive, but the current problem is that scientists come to do it on TV, it’s not very good, the message gets across badly.

Regarding the differences between scientists and political power, Yazdan Yazdanpanah recalls that “the Scientific Council is there to enlighten, it is not there to make decisions”. “In the past, certain opinions were not heeded, such as the closure of schools in May when we had said that it was necessary to close, it was not done and probably rightly”, did he declare.
