Dutch Red Bull driver Max Verstappen showed the fastest time in the second free practice of the first Formula 1 stage of the season – the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The second result was shown by Briton Lando Norris from McLaren (+0,095). The third place in the final protocol of the session was taken by the current seven-time Formula 1 champion, Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton (+0.235).
Russian Haas rider Nikita Mazepin finished the first practice with the last, 20th result (+2.602). His partner Mick Schumacher is 18th (+2,450).
According to the results of the first practice, Verstappen also became the best. The second result was the Finn Valleteri Bottas from Mercedes, the third was with Norris, and Mazepin was 20th.
Earlier it was reported that the FIA revised its attitude to the CAS sanctions against Russian pilots.
