Two additional tugs are on their way to the Suez Canal to rescue the stranded container ship Ever Given. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Marine Traffic data.
As it became known earlier, the largest French transport company CMA CGM Group, due to a traffic jam in the Suez Canal, sent two of its ships, which follow to Asia, bypassing around the Cape of Good Hope.
On March 23, ships were blocked in the Suez Canal area after one of the world’s largest container ships, Ever Given, ran aground, blocking the channel.
As of March 27, the number of ships congregated awaiting passage through the Suez Canal has reached 321.
Russian cosmonaut Sergei Kud-Sverchkov has published photos of Ever Given taken from the ISS.
