Trankov believes that Tarasova’s mistake at the World Figure Skating Championships is related to psychology.

Maxim Trankov, coach of Russian figure skaters Evgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov, commented on the performances of his wards in sports pairs competitions at the World Figure Skating Championships in Stockholm, Sweden.

“Of course, Sergei Voronov and I are upset. This season, Zhenya gave us no reason to doubt, and everything was fine here during warm-ups and trainings, and what happens during the skating is still not clear to anyone, we need to figure it out, ”Trankova quoted TASS as saying.

He noted that the problem with the occurrence of errors during the rentals is probably psychological.

“Zhenya jumps a sheepskin coat so that you can teach a quadruple – this is a gorgeous, beautiful, big jump, with a margin. What happens when people perform, I don’t know yet. A person needs to understand himself, but specialists should also help – you need to discuss, talk, find a solution. On the one hand, if we won at least some medal, I could be satisfied, but staying with a wooden one is not great happiness, ”added the specialist.

Tarasova and Morozov took fourth place at the end of the competition with a score of 212.76 (71.46 + 141.30) points. In the free program, the duo performed a parallel triple salchow, however, the skaters made blots on the ejection, which lowered their final marks for the rental.

Earlier, Tamara Moskvina said that it was necessary to analyze the performances of the coach Alexandra Boykova and Dmitry Kozlovsky in a calm atmosphere.
