Former Spartak footballer and ex-coach of Krylia Sovetov Samara Andrei Tikhonov spoke about the Moscow team’s forward Alexander Sobolev.
“Now Sobolev has matured. He needed time to live and outgrow moments of carefree youth. He began to look at life differently, especially after the death of his mother. When it’s hard for a person, he reconsiders a lot. Now Sasha looks just great. He added a lot – he scored many goals important for Spartak. If he continues this way, he may well become the main player of the national team, ”Sport24 quotes Tikhonov.
At the same time, he agrees with the former coach of Spartak Oleg Romantsev that Sobolev falls too much during the fight, but Tikhonov is sure that Alexander will be able to overcome this.
“But it’s impossible to get rid of it right away – it’s a habit that has been developing over the years. He may not want to fall – it happens automatically. But I believe that it will pass, ”Tikhonov said.
This season Sobolev played 18 matches for Spartak, in which he scored 11 goals and gave three assists.
Earlier, Dmitry Guberniev explained why Artyom Dzyuba wins the competition against Sobolev in the Russian national team.
