The Helsinki Stock Exchange opened up clearly. The share of Orthex, a listed plastic products manufacturer, rose sharply.
Europe has also opened up to a clear upswing as the pace of vaccination in the US is fueling hope for accelerating economic growth. In Europe, the broad Stoxx 600 index had risen 0.8 percent in the morning.
In Helsinki, the general index OMXH rose by 0.6 per cent to 10,555.21 points at 10.30. The OMXH 25 index, which measures the most traded companies, rose 0.7 percent. EUR 55 million had been traded, of which EUR 6 million was from the most refined oil refiner, Neste.
Neste’s share had risen 0.6 percent.
Behind Neste, Sampo’s insurance group share rose 0.9 percent.
The share of network equipment manufacturer Nokia was the third most traded, rising 1.2 percent to EUR 3.43. In New York, Nokia’s share price ended yesterday at $ 3.97, or about 3.37 euros.
Konecranes announced the delivery of two port cranes to the port of Lagos in Nigeria. The value of Konecranes’ share had risen 2.3 percent.
Cargotec said it will sell the Navis software business to a US investment company for EUR 380 million. The company estimates that the transaction will have a positive impact of approximately EUR 230 million on the current year’s operating profit.
Cargotec’s share rose 2.4 percent.
The analysis company Inderes lowered the Kesko trading group from the recommended level of shares “increase” to the level “decrease”. The value of Kesko’s B share had risen by 0.2 per cent.
Inderes also began monitoring plastic products manufacturer Orthex with the recommendation “more”. The target price was set by the company at EUR 8.50.
Orthex’s share rose 8.7 percent to EUR 8.06.
Health technology company Biohit announced that the company’s CEO Semi Korpela has been on sick leave. His duties are performed by Osmo Suovaniemi, Chairman of the Board.
Biohit’s share was at yesterday’s closing value.
Today, the dividend was detached from ten company shares, including the board manufacturer Metsä Board and the pharmaceutical company Orion.
A dividend of EUR 1.50 was released on Orion’s shares. The company’s B share had weakened by EUR 0.93, which is less than the dividend.
