The Russian Arctic is planning to create a global scientific, educational and technological center, said Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
“The new horizon for the development of the university, which is located in the homeland of the great Russian scientist Mikhail Lomonosov, is associated with the project of creating a world-class intellectual center. On its basis, not only the training of new personnel will be carried out, but also the vectors of development of the Arctic territories will be worked out, as well as research will be carried out and support for their implementation will be carried out, ”said Chernyshenko.
According to him, active international cooperation is expected on the basis of the center.
The development program provides for such areas as “Arctic ecosystems”, “Human life in the Arctic”, “Resources of the North and the Arctic”, as well as digital development and the formation of a world-class REC “Russian Arctic: new materials, technologies and research methods” and a number of others …
Earlier it was reported that the Russian government will allocate more than 214 billion rubles for investment projects in the Arctic.
