The number of patients with Covid-19 in intensive care continued to increase on Saturday March 27, even if the number of hospital admissions has declined a little over the last 24 hours, according to data published by Public Health France.
They were 4 791 patients in intensive care Saturday against 4 766 the day before. The number of patients admitted to intensive care had peaked on November 16 at 4,903 patients, at the height of the second wave of the epidemic. In the past 24 hours, ICU admissions have slowed down slightly to 332 patients compared to 476 the day before.
The total number of people hospitalized in France because of Covid-19 is 27,259 on Saturday, including 1,567 new admissions in 24 hours. On Friday alone, 2,048 new patients were registered. In 24 hours, 194 patients died in hospital as a result of Covid-19.
