The Lebanese Presidency denies statements attributed to Aoun about the government file – Politics – News

The Media Office of the Lebanese Presidency denied statements attributed to President General Michel Aoun regarding the current situation and the government file, which were reported by the media, quoting a newspaper.

The media office said in a press statement yesterday: “Since the morning, the media have been reporting from a local newspaper, words attributed to the President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, about the current situation and the government file.”

The statement added: “The Information Office confirms that this statement is totally unfounded.”

The Lebanese newspaper, Al-Akhbar, in its issue issued yesterday, quoted visitors to the President of the Republic as saying that “Aoun believes that Hariri raises the ceiling because of the support he receives from internal and external forces.”

The newspaper quoted the president of the republic saying: “I am not ready to hand over the country to those who bear responsibility for its devastation. Without any compliment or equivocation, but if they have another solution, let them come with it, but let them suggest a prime minister from outside the political club responsible for the destruction of the country ».
