The first children’s hospice in the Sverdlovsk region was opened in Yekaterinburg.
According to the Deputy Minister of Health of the region Elena Chadova, there are more than 900 children in the region who require palliative care.
The hospice operates on the basis of the regional children’s clinical hospital. It can accommodate 27 children with their parents for a 24-hour stay. There are rooms for the visiting brigade of patronage palliative medical care for children, as well as a methodological center for parents and volunteers.
“Today’s milestone event is a very important and significant step in providing medical care to little patients. We sincerely wish the children’s hospice professional and successful work, ”said Deputy Governor Pavel Krekov.
Earlier, as reported by NTV, the board of the Krug Dobra foundation told about the organization’s tasks.
