As of March 28, the incidence rate of Covid-19, in Seine-Saint-Denis, is the highest in France with 777 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The numbers are crazy.
The week of March 29 in Seine-Saint-Denis risks being marked by the cascading closure of school classes due to the explosion of cases of Covid-19 in the department. The incidence rate linked to Covid-19 is the highest in France with 777 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. A high school in Drancy is causing a lot of concern. In this establishment, several dozen students were infected. The epidemic is progressing and worries many high school students. “I’m not afraid, it’s more for my family”, confides a student.

In one week, 35 students tested positive, as did a dozen staff members. Faced with this situation, 22 classes will be closed in the high school with 2,400 students. Despite the risks of dropping out of school, some parents and teachers are demanding to go further with an outright closure of the establishment. “We arrive at a situation so alarming that, from a health standpoint, it becomes impossible. Unfortunately, this school will have to be temporarily closed”, indicates the representative of the Federation of parents’ councils (FCPE). This situation is not unprecedented in Seine-Saint-Denis, which is currently the department hardest hit by the third wave.
