The Dutch Juniors start without Boadu and with Gakpo in a duel with Germany | NOW

National coach Erwin van de Looi has made three changes to the Juniors for the group match against Germany at the European Championship. Myron Boadu surprisingly has to settle for a place on the bench, just like Deyovaisio Zeefuik and Ludovit Reis.

Cody Gakpo takes the place of Boadu in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. The AZ striker is normally assured of a starting place under Van de Looi, but did not make a great impression in the opening match against Young Hungary (1-1).

The center of defense is formed by Perr Schuurs and Sven Botman, who had to settle for a raid in the opening game. Schuurs scored the only Dutch goal against the Hungarians.

Because of Botman’s base spot, Jordan Teze moves to the right back position and Zeefuik has to take a seat on the bench. There is also a mutation in midfield: Abdou Harroui takes the place of Reis.

Due to the draw against Hungary, the Juniors need a victory over the Germans to keep a good chance for a place in the knockout phase. The game against Young Germany starts at 9 p.m.
