The Dutch Juniors start without Boadu against Germany, Gakpo and Botman start | NOW

National coach Erwin van de Looi has made three changes to the Juniors for the group match against Germany at the European Championship. Myron Boadu has to settle for a place on the couch, just like Deyovaisio Zeefuik and Ludovit Reis.

Cody Gakpo takes the place of Boadu in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. The AZ striker is normally assured of a starting place under Van de Looi, but did not make a great impression in the opening match against Young Romania (1-1).

The center in defense is formed by Perr Schuurs and Sven Botman, who had to settle for a place on the bench in the opening game. Schuurs scored the only Dutch goal against the Romanians.

Van de Looi already hinted on Friday that Gakpo and Botman would be kicking off. The PSV attacker and the Lille OSC defender have just returned from injuries.

Because of Botman’s base spot, Jordan Teze moves to the right back position and Zeefuik has to take a seat on the bench. There is also a mutation in midfield: Abdou Harroui takes the place of Reis.

Due to the draw against Romania, the Juniors need a victory over the Germans to keep a good chance for a place in the knockout phase. The game against Young Germany starts at 9 p.m.

Line-up Young Orange: Sharpening; Teze, Schuurs, Botman, Bakker; Harroui, Koopmeiners; Lang, De Wit; Kluivert, Gakpo
