The international player and former Al-Faisali football coach, Ratib Al-Awadat, died at the age of 50, after a long struggle with illness, according to what the Jordanian club announced in a statement yesterday.
Al-Awadat contributed to the Jordan national team being crowned the gold medal in the Arab sports tournament twice in 1997 in Lebanon and 1999 in Jordan, under the leadership of the late national coach Muhammad Awad. And achieved with Al-Faisaly dozens of local titles.
The late man previously coached Al-Faisali, Thazat Ras and Al-Baqa ‘clubs, and led Al-Faisaly the season before last to crown his last championship in the Professional League.
