Tatyana Butskaya, the chairman of the board of the all-Russian public organization Council of Mothers, expressed the opinion that the current measures of influence on former spouses who do not pay alimony are not enough.
“I believe that if the president has already looked towards single parents, now the right movement will surely begin here. Probably, a completely insoluble issue with alimony will be resolved. Now, of course, their (alimony defaulters – RT) are already looking for everything together, with torches, collectors. Men who do not pay alimony are not allowed abroad, their rights are taken away from them, criminal cases are brought up against them, but somehow, you see, something does not work. Well, they took away the rights, from this money did not appear (from a parent raising a child – RT) “, – said Butskaya.
As Izvestia previously reported, in Russia about 1.5 million Russians are on the list of restricted to travel abroad due to unpaid alimony, according to the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP).
