The cargo ship in the Suez Canal can be unloaded on Saturday

The large freighter Ever Given, which ran aground and has been stuck in the Suez Canal since Tuesday, should be able to continue its journey on Saturday, according to its Japanese owner.

– The ship does not take in water. There are no problems with its rudders and propellers. Once it flows again, it should be able to work. We are continuing the work of removing sediment from now on, with additional dredging tools, says Yukito Higaki, president of Shoei Kisen KK, which owns the ship.

The problem is that it is not yet floating. According to the ship’s technical manager, the attempt made so far has failed.
