Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has issued an order specifying the electoral districts and the number of seats to be filled in the parliamentary elections.
This decree, which was published in the Official Gazette, specifies the electoral districts and the number of seats to be filled in the elections of members of the National People’s Assembly or the first chamber of the Algerian Parliament (407 seats), and the elected members of the National Assembly (116), in accordance with the provisions of the organic law related to the electoral system. Tebboune announced the dissolution of the House of Representatives at the end of last February, and set the date for early legislative elections on June 12th.
