>>> Covid-19: classes will close on Monday if cases of Covid have been detected this weekend.
The teachers recall that, in this high school which has nearly 2,000 students, twenty young people have lost their father or mother since the start of the epidemic a year ago. They denounce a “alarming health situation”. Since the start of the March 1 school year, 54 students have tested positive, as have around 20 teachers and two members of the management. According to them, 48 classes had at least one student contact case.
Numbers “indicative of a serious and imminent danger”, they write. “We were told the number of 20 young people who lost a parent at the last board meeting in December”, says Fabrice Morel, teacher and SNES-FSU 93 delegate.

Saliva tests are scheduled at the facility on Tuesday. Teachers have been exercising their right of withdrawal since Tuesday, March 23 and intend to repeat it, from next week if their request for closure is not heard. “We demand the urgent and temporary closure of the establishment, with a total switch to distance education to ensure pedagogical continuity”, they write.
According to the latest weekly report, 272 classes are currently closed in Seine-Saint-Denis, but no school.
