The little royals of Sweden received new reinforcements when they were princesses Sofia gave birth to a baby boy. The joyful news was shared by the Swedish royal family. Princess Sofia and Prince Carl Philipin the third offspring was born today, Friday, just before half a day. According to the release, both mother and baby are doing well.
The prince told about the family addition on Instagram in mid-December. There are already two sons in the family.
– We are happy and looking forward to welcoming our third child, the sister prince Alexanderille and the prince Gabrielille. A new little member of our family, Carl Philip and Sofia, commented in December.
The firstborn son of Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia was born in April 2016, less than a year after the couple had married. In August 2017, Alexander had a little brother, Gabriel.
Prince Carl Philip and his family have lived in isolation for the past year. The Swedish royals have tried to set a good example during the corona pandemic and urged citizens to avoid unnecessary meetings.
The traditional festivities of the court have been very largely canceled and the royals have remained in their own homes, far apart.
Carl Philip and Sofia also contracted the coronavirus in the fall. According to the court, the couple had mild flu symptoms at the time, but they are fine with the circumstances. Now the couple has already fully recovered from the virus.
