The measure, which will take effect on Tuesday March 30, and applies to people over the age of 6, comes as Spain steps up restrictions in the hope of avoiding an increase in cases of Covid-19 contamination during Holy Week, which begins this weekend.
Only people working in road transport and cross-border workers will be exempt, as well as people living in the border area provided they stay within a radius of 30 kilometers around their home.

Favorite destination with its open bars and curfew at 11 p.m., Madrid has become a refuge for European tourists, especially French tourists, while its inhabitants are banned from leaving the region.
