Russian Anna Shcherbakova commented on her performance in the free program and shared her impressions of winning the women’s single skating at the 2021 World Figure Skating Championships in Sweden in Stockholm.
She noted that her performance in the free program was a fight with herself.
“From the first element, things didn’t go the way I wanted. I realized that I needed to do the best possible for the remaining elements and not lose points, ”added the 16-year-old skater.
As a result of two skates, Shcherbakova scored 233.17 points – 81.00 for the short program and 152.17 for the free program, and became the world champion.
Earlier it was reported that Russian figure skaters for the first time in history took the entire podium at the World Figure Skating Championships.
