The Dubai Sports Council sent a circular to the clubs and football companies affiliated to it, regarding the special conditions for appointing supervisors and administrators in the coming period, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Council, during a meeting of the Board of Directors that was held earlier in this regard.
Resolution No. 5 of 2020 stipulated the development and follow-up of administrative and supervisory cadres in clubs and sports companies in the Emirate of Dubai, and setting controls for the work of this important group in various clubs and sports companies, within the framework of developing national cadres and supporting them to succeed in performing their administrative and supervisory role by attracting the best cadres according to Criteria set by the decision, in a way that contributes to the integration of administrative and technical roles to achieve the desired development of the sports sector, and to make the environment of sports clubs and companies attractive at the sporting and societal levels.
A statement issued by the Dubai Sports Council yesterday said that the circular stressed the need to amend the status of the current supervisors and administrators who do not meet the basic conditions, no later than the beginning of next April.
The basic conditions included: that the supervisor be a citizen of the United Arab Emirates, be of good conduct, and hold a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, while the administrator is required to have a high school diploma or its equivalent and to have successfully passed the job test.
The new regulations also included setting additional conditions for the supervisor and administrator category that are a reference for the differentiation between candidates, including proficiency in the English language and mastery of computer skills.
Sports institutions were given the freedom to determine the duration and experience of the game practitioner to accept the appointment of new supervisors and administrators.
