Columns of cars are forming at the borders of Serbia as part of a major vaccination operation against Covid-19 on Saturday March 27, indicates the franceinfo correspondent in Belgrade. Many people are waiting for example on the Bosnian border, in the hope of being able to be vaccinated.

Since Friday and until Sunday at 4 p.m., foreign citizens can be vaccinated free of charge and without making an appointment with AstraZeneca in Serbia, at the Belgrade Congress Center or in Novi Sad, the country’s second city.

Among the notable initiatives, the Belgrade Chamber of Commerce has, for example, called on its colleagues from neighboring countries, such as Romania, Bosnia, Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria and Montenegro, to come and get vaccinated. .

Focused on Russian and Chinese vaccine manufacturers, Serbia is one of the leading countries in anti-Covid vaccination. Out of 7 million people, more than 1.3 million have received one dose, and nearly 1.2 million have received two doses. In recent days, however, vaccination has slowed due to a drop in the interest of Serbian citizens.
