In her address, she noted that very often parents visit supermarkets, shops, liquor stores with their minor children, buying cigarettes or alcohol in their presence. In her opinion, this can contribute to the emergence of an early interest in these products in children, which can develop into an addiction to these bad habits.

Such behavior, according to Volynets, can have a negative impact on the child and on his health in the future.

The social activist also recalled that the Ministry of Health stated the need to take additional measures aimed at reducing alcohol consumption among young people, and also called the department a priority to reduce tobacco consumption among children and adolescents.

“In this regard, I ask you to consider the feasibility of amending the current legislation in terms of introducing a ban on the sale of these goods to customers who came to the store with their minor children,” says the text of the appeal.

Earlier, a member of the Public Chamber, Sultan Khamzayev, proposed removing alcohol stronger than 15% from grocery stores in specialized alcohol stores.
