Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the continuation of comprehensive Arctic expeditions, the study and development of the Far North to ensure Russia’s military security.

Putin noted that the complex of combat training and scientific research has demonstrated the ability and readiness of the Russian Navy to operate in the harsh northern latitudes.
According to him, the crews of submarines and military aircraft, as well as servicemen of tactical motorized rifle units “have shown increased combat training in the difficult environment of the Arctic.”
The President stressed that “the high combat capabilities of domestic weapons, their reliability in operation in extreme conditions have been confirmed.”

Earlier it was reported that Putin heard a report on the complex Arctic expedition “Umka-2021”.
