The conversation took place at the initiative of the Armenian side.
“When discussing the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, it was stated with satisfaction that the situation in the region has stabilized and remains generally calm,” the TASS report was quoted as saying.
The parties also discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation “with an emphasis on the energy sector and the fight against coronavirus infection” and agreed on further contacts.
Earlier, Pashinyan, at a meeting with residents of villages in the Aragatsotn region of Armenia, said that refusing to comply with the trilateral ceasefire agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh would lead to disaster.
