The American Aspen Research Institute announced that Prince Harry, who gave up his role in the British royal family and criticized the tabloids, joined a committee to combat misinformation.
The institute stated yesterday that this committee will, within six months, study ways to address the “current crisis of confidence in key institutions” in the United States.
Prince Harry, 36, said in a statement that he looks forward to helping find solutions to the “torrent of disinformation” that exists today, noting that it “affects the ability of individuals as well as societies to have a true and clear understanding of the world.”
“I think it is a humanitarian issue,” he added.
Prince Harry also accepted a management position at Better Up, the San Francisco-based tech startup announced Tuesday.
