Los Angeles Police Department has started an investigation into actor Armie Hammer. A woman who says she was raped by him in 2017 has charged him, reports TMZ.
Effie, as the woman is called, says she has reported sexual abuse to the police. She says the actor raped her for four hours. The woman has hired lawyer Gloria Allred, who assisted several women in the trial of Harvey Weinstein. Allred says that Effie has submitted evidence for the rape and that the investigation must determine whether this is sufficient to proceed to prosecution.
Hammer’s attorney says he doesn’t believe Effie’s allegations. According to him, she contradicts herself and contacted Hammer again in the summer of 2020 because she wanted to have sex with him. In these text messages owned by Hammer’s team, she would explicitly state what she wants the actor to do with her.
According to the lawyer, Hammer insists that all of his sexual interactions were with the consent of both parties. The charge comes after Hammer was discredited earlier this year for allegedly sending messages to several women, in which he writes, among other things, that he wants to eat their body parts. After the fuss, he left several film projects he was working on.
Hammer’s ex-girlfriend Paige Lorenze said earlier this year that the actor branded her and then licked the blood on the wound. Hammer himself has so far dismissed the stories as “nonsense”.
