Police are looking for a stab in Helsinki – Finland

Police stopped vehicles in the Meilahti area on Saturday night.

The Helsinki Police Department had a spectacular operation in the Meilahti area on Saturday night, which was attended by several police patrols. A reader of Ilta-Sanomat said that he noticed how police patrols stopped vehicles and checked people on Töölöntullinkatu.

The photographer of Ilta-Sanomat, who visited the scene, confirms that there were police cars near the intersection of Töölöntullinkatu and Stenbäckinkatu in the evening.

Director General of the Helsinki Police, Commissioner Esa Pennanen told Ilta-Sanomat that the police activity observed in the direction of Meilahti is related to the stabbing that took place earlier in Huopalahti.

– The man was stabbed in the leg. Police have searched for the perpetrators and stopped cars suitable for the given characteristics.
