The police academy has taken a recruitment video offline with actor Bilal Wahib. A spokesperson confirms this after reporting AD. It is the first time that an organization outside the media has made this decision regarding the discredited actor.
Wahib asked a suspected underage boy during a chat session to show his genitals for a fee. The 22-year-old actor was interrogated twice by the police on Wednesday.
He has announced through his lawyer that he regrets his action. His record label Top Notch immediately halted all activities and NPO Zapp removed him from the program Teenage Boss, which he presented.
“Someone who is used as a figurehead for the police must be of impeccable behavior,” said the academy spokesperson. “This action has changed that.”
Wahib previously collaborated on a six-part video series called Training Day. Well-known Dutch people carry out assignments in police uniform. The videos were on the site of the police, but have now been removed. They are still on the YouTube channel of Stingy Guests, part of Talpa Network. The police have urged that the videos be removed from here as well.
