In Poland, the restrictions are tightening a little more. The government announced this Thursday, March 25, the closure of new stores as well as nurseries and kindergartens. The country is facing a third wave of Covid-19 which is particularly strong as the Easter holidays approach.

From Saturday, nurseries and kindergartens will have to close, as will hairdressers and DIY stores, and the activities of sports facilities will be reduced. If there are no travel restrictions or curfews, the number of people allowed in department stores and churches will be restricted.

Decisions necessary for the government faced with record figures. Poland recorded nearly 35,000 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday, a rate never seen before. 75% of Covid beds are occupied as are 75% of respirators. ” This is the most difficult moment of the pandemic “Said the Polish Prime Minister, adding that the country was one step away from being able to treat people properly.

These new restrictions come a few days before Easter. The head of government asked the Poles to celebrate this holiday in the smallest possible family circle. The Minister of Health spoke, for his part, with the episcopate in this Catholic country before making a joint declaration calling on priests to respect the limits of the number of faithful in churches.
