The Al Hirah Literary Council at the Department of Culture in Sharjah organized a popular poetry session for poets Hamad bin Hamdan in Al-Asyoud and Ibrahim Ali Al Balushi, in the presence of an audience of poetry lovers, while adhering to the precautionary measures and procedures. The department broadcasted the poetry session presented by Dr. Mansour Al Shamsi, on its accounts on social networking sites. Al Shamsi said, “Poetry chronicles the history of man, his feelings, and his experiences, so we are chronicling the present of the Emirate of Sharjah, which is experiencing a cultural, scientific and civilizational renaissance.”
He pointed out that the Asyod poet shared the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, a number of his poems, as his poems dealt with the human, social, patriotic, and flirtatious aspect. As for Al-Balushi, he is a distinguished poet, who was born in Al-Ain. He knew poetry from his early life and wrote national, social and flirtatious poetry.
