Pittsburgh beat Islanders, Varlamov and Sorokin conceded six goals for two


The Pittsburgh Penguins beat the New York Islanders in a National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match.

The meeting took place at the Pee-Pee-Gee Paints Arena in Pittsburgh and ended with a score of 6: 3.

Frederic Gaudreau, Evan Rodriguez, Sidney Crosby and Brian Rust (3) have scored goals for Pittsburgh. The Islanders include Matthew Barzal, Anthony Beauville and Jordan Eberle.

Russian striker “Penguins” Evgeni Malkin missed the game due to injury.

Islanders’ Russian goalkeeper Ilya Sorokin conceded four goals. In the second period, Sorokin was replaced by his compatriot Semyon Varlamov, who conceded two goals.

Earlier it was reported that Shesterkin’s 35 saves did not save the Rangers from losing to Philadelphia in the NHL.
