A woman has sued former film producer Harvey Weinstein for attempted sexual abuse, reports TMZ Sunday based on court documents.
According to Hayley Gripp, Weinstein tried to assault her in 2012 at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills. The former film producer would have received help from a female assistant.
Gripp claims she lost consciousness after drinking wine during a meeting with Weinstein. Then the actress from, among other things, the crime series CSI: Las Vegas woke up, he would have been on top of her.
While she was freeing herself, Gripp is said to have injured the former film producer with her nails on his scrotum. His assistant would have been on the lookout during the alleged incident, according to Gripp.
Weinstein denies the allegations
Weinstein denies the charges and claims not to know Gripp. The former film producer calls Gripp’s claims “shockingly unreliable and contrived” and is in turn considering legal action.
In March 2020, Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison for rape and sexual assault in other cases. After that, the former film producer was charged several times with sexual abuse.
