A former football player is suspected of drug trafficking.
Ex-footballer, Also played in the German Bundesliga Mustafa Kucukovic was arrested on Wednesday in Gelsenkirchen.
Kucukovic, 34, is suspected of drug trafficking. The German newspaper reported on the matter picture.
According to Bild, police raided Kucukovic’s apartment. He had been observed for months.
At the same time as Kucukovic, another person associated with the suspected drug tangle was also arrested.
AS:n according to Kucukovic and another detainee had seized about 230 kilograms of cannabis, 30 kilograms of hashish and 50 kilograms of cocaine and sold the drugs in Hamburg in the spring of 2020. Bild says the street value of the drug was estimated at 10 million euros.
A search of the home following the arrest found tens of thousands of euros, small amounts of drugs, several cell phones and foreign sim cards in Kucukovic’s possession.
In the former Born in Yugoslavia, Kucukovic made his debut in the Bundesliga in 2004 at Hamburger SV. He was 17 at the time and became the youngest player to make his debut on the HSV Bundesliga team. He eventually played in HSV in 14 matches over two seasons.
In his football career, Kucukovic also represented, among others, TSV 1860 Munich, Grenoble in France, SønderjyskE in Denmark, Energie Cottbus and Olympiakos Nicosia in Greece.
At the national team level, he represented Germany on junior national teams.
Kucukov’s football career ended in 2017.
