Four minor foreign nationals were taken off the international train in Breda by the military police on Friday. The day before, a 44-year-old Belgian was arrested on the A4 near Hoogerheide for human smuggling because he was transporting a foreigner.
The minor foreign nationals were found by the military police on the international train from Belgium to the Netherlands. According to the military police, all persons have applied for asylum and are entering the immigration process.
A day earlier, the military police also came into action. Then they checked a delivery van with Belgian registration on the A4 near Hoogerheide, where they found two people in the vehicle.
The co-driver said he was of Moroccan descent, but had no documents with him to prove his identity. According to the military police, the driver could have known that the co-driver was illegal. The driver was therefore arrested for human smuggling.
The man of Moroccan descent has also entered the immigration process. The Belgian will have to answer for himself in court at a later point in time.
