On Thursday evening, the news came that he is now changing party from the Social Democrats to the Left Party.
– It comes from the fact that I think I was treated in a rude way in the Social Democrats when I was forced to leave, but I also think that the party has moved more to the right, says Persson who now believes that he has been re-ignited in the Left Party.
– I have had discussions for a few months with the Left Party and I feel welcome, so I step over, he continues.
Left due to lack of trust
When he left all political assignments in December, one reason, according to him, was that his confidence was disturbed, but when he now changes party, he does not take anything with him.
– No, it was about the trust of the board, I have never experienced that the trust of the public has been disturbed. I move a lot among people and with a few exceptions I have only met positive reactions, says Kenneth Persson.
“If you want me on the list in the upcoming elections, I do not say no”
It is not clear what role Kenneth Persson will have in the Left Party, but he has no visions of any major assignments, he says.
– I will be a member and work in the election movement, but if you want me on the list in upcoming elections, I do not say no to it.
Kenneth Persson will remain on the municipal council in Borlänge during this term of office, without party designation.
