Jordi Mercader Mir (Portbou, Gerona, 1943) has been an exceptional witness and actor in the business, financial and political evolution in Spain over the last fifty years.
He began his career working at the Inpacsa paper mill, where he ended up being president, and today he is president and first shareholder of another paper mill, Miquel y Costas, one of the small Spanish multinationals. Between the day before yesterday and today he has been president of Bazn, where he led the construction of the Prncipe de Asturias aircraft carrier, the INI (1988-1990), Iberlat, Aguas de Barcelona and vice president of La Caixa and Repsol, among others. His figure has been and continues to be present in many associations
