About 170 million rubles will be allocated this year by the Tomsk region to protect forests from fires.
“In total, in 2021, the Tomsk region will receive 169.5 million rubles from the budgets of all levels to protect forests from fires,” the regional administration said.
According to the head of the Forestry Department of the Tomsk Region, Artyom Konev, an additional 4 million rubles have been allocated in the region to upgrade the early fire detection system in the ground zone – video surveillance.
In addition, within the framework of the implementation of the regional project “Preservation of Forests” of the national project “Ecology”, the forest fire brigades of the region will receive new equipment, fire equipment and warning devices worth 98.9 million rubles.
