In Kazakhstan, the number of seriously ill COVID-19 in March increased by 32% – RT in Russian


In Kazakhstan, in March, the number of patients with a severe course of coronavirus infection COVID-19 increased by 32%, said the head of the Ministry of Health of the republic Alexei Tsoi.

“As of March 30, the number of severe patients in comparison with February 28 increased by 32% and amounted to 440,” RIA Novosti quotes him at a press conference.

According to the Ministry of Health, 33% (8,130) of infectious beds and 20% (450) of intensive care beds are employed in Kazakhstan.

At the same time, over the past two weeks, the incidence of coronavirus in Kazakhstan has increased 1.5 times.

Earlier, in Nur-Sultan, due to the increase in coronavirus cases, it was decided to ban the work of shopping and entertainment centers and catering establishments on weekends from March 30, as well as transfer students and schoolchildren to remote education, with the exception of graduates.
