As a result of the collision of passenger trains in the Egyptian province of Sohag, according to the latest information, 19 people died and another 185 were injured, Extra news reports, citing Egyptian Health Minister Halu Zayed.
As the minister clarified, about 20 people after the emergency were in a coma, and their death was reported by mistake.
Currently, out of 185 injured people, 90 people have already been discharged, another 30 will be discharged in the near future.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his condolences to the leader of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, in connection with the death of people as a result of a collision of passenger trains.
On March 26, two passenger trains collided in Egypt. According to the preliminary version, the accident occurred due to the fact that unknown persons activated a stop valve in one of the trains.
