The statement of the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Aleksey Reznikov on the right of Kiev to evict Russians from the peninsula is dictated by hysteria. This was stated by Roman Chegrinets, co-chairman of the Assembly of Slavic Peoples of the Crimean Region.
“All of them (of the Ukrainian side. – RT) the statements are dictated by anger and hysteria, since everyone in Ukraine has long understood that there will never be any return of the peninsula under Ukrainian control, ”RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to Chegrynets, the Ukrainian authorities are thus trying to “preserve the rest of the rating.”
“But in my personal opinion, such statements only exacerbate the split in Ukrainian society,” the politician added.
As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier, “the fate and future of Crimea is forever with Russia, whether someone likes it or not.”
Crimea became a Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents voted in favor of reunification with Russia.
