Forty-three people were injured in Colombia in the explosion of a car bomb outside the town hall of the municipality of Corinto (southwest), the government announced early Saturday March 27, attributing the attack to dissidents from the ex-guerrillas of the Farc.

“This indiscriminate attack (…) against the civilian population and, in this case, against a public institution like the town hall is a senseless terrorist act”, said the Minister of Defense, Diego Molano.

“Forty-three people have been affected and are being treated in hospitals, 17 for dizziness, 20 for minor injuries and 6 are seriously injured”, he added. Among the victims of the attack, which occurred on Friday, are 13 officials and two pregnant women, said an official of the municipality.
