2021 is going to be a salty year for holders of mutuals. Indeed, as revealed by the journalist France Télévisions Christelle Méral, present on the set of 19/20, Thursday March 25, prices have increased by 4.3% according to a recent study. “This increase is explained in particular by the aging of the population and the 100% health contract which allows the benefit of dental prostheses and hearing aids.“, being reimbursed at 100%, notes the journalist.
These results are however disputed by the French Mutuality. According to her, the increase amounts to 2.6%, due to the steady increase in health spending. In addition, it is in Hauts-de-France that mutuals are the most expensive: on average 923 euros per year because certain pathologies such as diabetes are relatively widespread. “Then comes Île-de-France: 909 euros. A high cost due to frequent fee overruns“, specifies the journalist. Finally, in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, this sum is on average 907 euros. Patients are often older and require more care, which logically leads to a higher cost.
