Silver medalist of the 2002 Olympics, choreographer and stage director Ilya Averbukh appreciated the performance of Russian figure skaters Tiffany Zagorski and Jonathan Gureiro in free dance at the World Championships in Stockholm.
“I continue to praise the guys this season. Because I see that they are striving to develop. It’s still a long way from skating in strong warm-ups. The class needs to develop. Stop trying and start saying to yourself: “I do it and I do it well.” They are already starting it. And this is judged by the judges, there are more fans. As for the program, in many cases you catch yourself thinking that we have already seen this. The guys said everything there was to say. But at the same time, work on supports throughout the season is visible. This is an important component, and today they have turned out well. There were no overexposures, on the contrary, they fit well into the program, ”Averbukh said on the air of Channel One.
The judges rated the free dance of Zagorski and Gurreiro at 112.87 points. According to the results of two rentals, they scored 188.45 points.
Earlier, the FFKKR said that three quotas in men’s skating at the Olympic Games would need to be confirmed.
