Russian Haas F1 Team racer Nikita Mazepin commented on his performance at the first Formula 1 stage of the season – the Bahrain Grand Prix.

He noted that it is difficult to say what conclusions can be drawn from this situation, but stressed that this is an experience, and this should not be repeated in the future.
“It was a difficult weekend. I lost all the confidence that I had gained on the tests. We need to analyze everything. Unfortunately, now there will be a rather long break for Formula 1 – two weeks. There is time to analyze everything and come back stronger. Problems cannot be reset, otherwise they will repeat themselves, ”added Mazepin.
The 22-year-old Russian retired on the first lap. In the third turn, he made a mistake, lost control and, flying off the track, crashed the car on a protective barrier.
The second stage of Formula 1, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, will take place at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit in Imola from 16 to 18 April.
Earlier, Mikhail Alyoshin expressed the opinion that it is too early to draw conclusions about Mazepin after his departure in Bahrain.
