Emirati Amna Ahmed Abdullah, known as “Umm Abdullatif”, was chosen among the influential women figures nationally and regionally, by the Khalidiya Youth Society in Bahrain, where she was honored in the annual honor ceremony held by the association last Saturday evening, in celebration of International Women’s Day, through Video communication technology, under the generous patronage of the Speaker of Parliament in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain, Mrs. Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal.
Mother Amna Ahmed, dubbed “the scent of the past” and a member of the Union Women’s Association in Sharjah, won this honor in recognition of her roles in the field of reviving the national heritage, and her societal efforts as a model for the pioneering woman in community work, and she was chosen by the organizing committee, according to a group Among the distinguished considerations and efforts, as the ceremony included honoring 12 influential Gulf women figures, in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the Sultanate of Oman.
A group of Gulf and Arab women figures, and senior officials, interested and active in the field of women’s activity, participated in the live broadcast of the event through the (Zoom) application, and through the association’s YouTube channel and account, the Bahraini media event was moderated by Dr. Bint Sanad Al-Muhannadi.
The award aims to value and celebrate the efforts of women, believing in their great position, their great efforts, their unlimited giving at various levels, their active role in the renaissance of their country, and the consolidation of their achievements, which requires continued support and empowerment of women in all fields.
The ceremony included, in addition to the honor, the speech of the honorable women, delivered on their behalf by the Sheikha and Kuwaiti businesswoman Intisar Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah, in addition to reciting poetry presented by poet Nadia Muhammad Daibes.
On this occasion, the 72-year-old mother, Amna Ahmed, expressed her pride in this honor, which she gave to the leadership of the UAE and its honorable people, and to the “Mother of the Emirates” Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chair of the Family Development Foundation and Chair of the Council The Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and to the “Big Heart” of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Supreme Family Council, for their great efforts in making Emirati women a pioneer in civilized achievements and a strong contribution and influence in the comprehensive renaissance in the United Arab Emirates, as she dedicated this honor to her family And her sons and daughters, who are the pulse for which she worked and are still working, and exchange her for support, loyalty and encouragement.
Umm Abdul Latif added that every Emirati woman, whether she is a mother, employee, or student, and wherever her position in society is, is a project of achievement and stature of success. She leads her present to make her future and the future of her community, because she believes in her abilities and realizes the confidence of her country in her and her potential.
