Heavy message for Bayern Munich: Lewandowski injured

Robert Lewandowski, 32, has this season scored 35 goals in 25 games in the Bundesliga for his Bayern Munich, which he has belonged to since the 2013/2014 season. The experienced German has rarely been injured and absent for a few longer periods during his career.

But on Tuesday, it has the German big club has left a heavy message: The star attacker is injured and will be gone for four weeks.

He will be a two-goal shooter

It was in the World Cup qualifier against Andorra that Lewandowski injured himself and was replaced after just over an hour of play. Before that, he had scored both goals in a match that Poland eventually won 3-0.

Miss the CL quarterfinal meetings

The injury will affect the right knee and now Bayern Munich will have to do without Lewandowski when they face the French big club Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

The first meeting will be played on April 7 in Germany and then it’s time for the return in France a little over a week later, on April 13.
